The cost paid for itself with a single offer

What I came with and where I am now
I came with a task that looked simple: find a new job. But the real problem was deeper: at interviews I wasn’t being assessed as a senior, and at some point I started to believe it myself. The offers were below what I am capable of, and I didn’t understand whether that was the market or whether something was wrong with me.
Now: a signed contract with a Swedish company, and most importantly, I no longer doubt my level. The cost paid for itself with a single offer. There is nothing even to calculate here.
What changed
Most of all, how I talk about myself. At interviews I used to talk about code: what I wrote, how I did it. After our conversations I started talking about the product, the user, the decisions I made and why. It is literally a different level of conversation, and companies react differently.
Second, I stopped being afraid of awkward moves. Writing to a recruiter I had already interviewed with and failed. Asking the client a direct product question about a test task instead of guessing. Not agreeing to a salary that doesn’t suit me, even when the process is going well. Before, I would have stayed silent and agreed.
What was most valuable
Two things. First, you gave me back my belief in myself as a specialist, and it wasn’t about encouragement: you showed me my own strengths that I couldn’t see.
Second, real-time support. Not ‘come to a consultation once every two weeks’ but the possibility to send over a test task, a letter, a message from a recruiter, and get a proper breakdown here and now. For me that worked better than any theory.
What was missing / what could be improved
Honestly, I lacked structure after the meetings. The conversations are great and there are many insights, but a week later part of it fades. A short summary of 5–7 points with concrete actions before the next meeting would close this completely, and the client would see the progress.
And separately: the topic of salary negotiation ran in the background for us, as situations came up. In my view it deserves a separate block with a simulation: run through a dialogue where you are offered a figure below the market and have to work through it. It is the most nerve-racking moment of the whole process, and the one people prepare for least.
Who I would recommend it to
Middles and seniors who are stuck: the experience is there, but the offers are either weak or don’t come at all. Especially those who know how to do the work but not how to talk about it. That is exactly what you draw out best.
And those entering a foreign market for the first time. The rules of the game are different there, and without someone to explain them you just keep hitting a wall for a long time.
Thank you for everything) I hope we’ll hit the jackpot together again.
